State testing in Russian as a foreign language is carried out in Greece by the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Athens in cooperation with Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov in the framework of the Agreement between the governments of the Russian Federation and the Hellenic Republic of December 6, 2001. The MSU state certificate is recognized by the Supreme Council for the allocation of vacancies in the public sector of Greece. To obtain a certificate, you must score at least 66% for each of the five subtests (“Writing”, “Vocabulary. Grammar”, “Reading”, “Listening” and “Speaking”). According to statistics, about 90% of the total number of test takers in Greece successfully pass the exam tests and receive a certificate.
The international volunteer program “Ambassadors of the Russian language in the world” is looking for new talents.
About the program “Ambassadors of the Russian language in the world”
The program was created to popularize the Russian language, Russian culture and literature in Russia abroad.
Russian language ambassadors go abroad to acquaint foreign schoolchildren and students with the Russian language, culture and Russian literature. They also work with children in Russian regional centers for children.
The program is implemented by the State Institute of the Russian Language. A.S. Pushkin with the support of state authorities since 2015. During this time, 227 volunteers from 90 universities took part in it.
Before becoming an ambassador of the Russian language, participants take a special course. Volunteers are introduced to the basics of teaching Russian as a foreign language and Russian as a non-native language, intercultural communication and pedagogy. Classes are held both in full-time and online formats.
Throughout the history of the project, the ambassadors of the Russian language have worked in countries such as Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as in Bulgaria, China, Peru, Portugal and many other states. Note that in 2019 the headquarters of the program will open in Turkey and France.
How to become an ambassador of the Russian language?
You can become a participant of the volunteer program “Ambassadors of the Russian Language in the World” by passing a competitive selection.
The first stage takes place online. Applications are open until July 3.
To participate in the first round, you must record the reading of a fragment of your favorite poem on a video and post it on your page in one of the social networks with the hashtags # poetry marathon and # messenger, passing the baton to six friends.

The Ministry of Education of Russia has been sending Russian teachers to the Republic of Tajikistan since 2017. This academic year 48 teachers of the Russian language and literature, physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology and information technology teach in more than twenty schools of the republic.
Russian teachers note the interest among Tajik schoolchildren in the Russian language and culture. According to them, many children are fluent in Russian and successfully participate in Russian Olympiads.
One of the mentors of the participants and winners of the regional, republican and international Olympiads in the Russian language is Emil Raifovich Burkhanov. He teaches Russian language and literature at the Presidential Boarding School for Gifted Children in the city of Khorog, Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region of the Republic of Tajikistan. In Tajikistan, the teacher has been working for the second academic year, teaching disciplines in Russian for schoolchildren in the 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th grades.
As the teacher notes, in the 7th, 8th and 10th grades, all subjects are taught in Russian. Both the Russian language and literature are actively studied in these classes. The teacher also teaches to eleventh graders, a group in which classes are conducted in Tajik.
“The school is attended by local city children and children from nearby villages. Their native language is Shugnan, which is very different from the state Tajik. Learning Russian is not difficult for children, since they speak this language well. There is no language barrier. Children read poems well, retell works, write essays on given topics, ”says Burkhanov.
Recently, his student took first place in the region at the Olympiad in the Russian language among the best students of regions or regions of republican subordination. Participants were required to write a presentation and complete test tasks.
“I had no doubts about her victory. We prepared thoroughly, she is a great fellow! – the teacher rejoices at the success of his student. “Children take part in Olympiads with great desire, they are pleased to receive medals”.
Earlier, the Republic of Tajikistan hosted the International Olympiad in the Russian language for schoolchildren from the CIS countries, following which Burkhanov’s student took 3rd place.
“The tests include questions about world culture, literature and tasks for general outlook,” says the teacher. – I would especially like to highlight the International Olympiad in the Russian language for schoolchildren from the CIS countries, which was held in three stages. Eight students made it to the finals from our school, one of them took 3rd place and was awarded a 3rd degree medalist diploma. “

On June 4, within the framework of the V International Humanitarian Livadia Forum, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation presented a film about Russian teachers teaching in the Republic of Tajikistan, the press service of the department reported.
The film is dedicated to the work of 48 Russian subject teachers who are currently working in secondary schools in Tajikistan. The eight-minute story tells about the peculiarities of the learning process, about how teachers from Russia feel while fulfilling the mission of promoting the Russian language, how children and parents perceive them, and what results this form of humanitarian international cooperation brings.
The film deals with the work of Russian teachers in four cities of Tajikistan: Dushanbe (Presidential Lyceum), Gissar (Presidential School for Gifted Students), Dangara (Presidential School for Gifted Students), Vakhdat (School No. 3 ).
The teachers shared their students’ successes in learning Russian and participating in the Olympiad movement. At the same time, they noted that interest in the Russian language is great not only in the cities of Tajikistan, but also in rural areas – kishlaks.
A conversation with senior pupils of Tajik schools showed that many talented children are fluent in Russian. They successfully participate in Russian language Olympiads, read and love Russian literature, dream of visiting Russia and entering universities. Russian teachers, according to schoolchildren, have played a significant role in their current achievements and acquired knowledge.
Today, Russian teachers from Kostroma, Orenburg, Kemerovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Ryazan, Kaluga, Samara and Yaroslavl regions, the republics of Dagestan, Bashkortostan and Tatarstan work in the schools of the Republic.
